TaajaBazaar – Privacy Policy & Play Store Compliance Policy

TaajaBazaar (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a grocery delivery application that enables users to browse products, place orders, make payments, and track deliveries. This Play Store Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and disclose information in compliance with Google Play Developer Program Policies, Google Play User Data Policies, and all applicable laws in India.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our services:

1.1 Personal Information

• Full Name
• Mobile Number (for login/OTP verification)
• Email Address (optional)
• Delivery Address (Home/Work/Custom)

1.2 Device & App Usage Information

• Device model, OS version, unique device identifiers
• App crash logs and performance data
• Analytics data such as screens visited, features used (via Firebase/Google Analytics)

1.3 Location Data

Approximate or precise location (only if the user grants permission)

Used for:

• Detecting serviceable area
• Faster delivery
• Showing nearest store availability

Location is not collected in the background and is only accessed when the user interacts with location-based features.

1.4 Payment Information

We do not store full card or UPI details.

Transactions are securely processed via:

• Razorpay
• Paytm
• PayU
• Stripe
• Other PCI-DSS compliant gateways

We may store:

• Last 4 digits of card (masked)
• Transaction ID
• Payment status

2. How We Use User Information

We use collected information for:

• Account creation and authentication
• Processing and delivering orders
• Sending order updates, OTPs, and notifications
• Customer support and issue resolution
• Improving app performance and user experience
• Detecting fraud, misuse, or policy violations
• Legal compliance

We never sell or rent user data to third parties.

3. Permissions We Request

The app requests the following permissions, each with clear purpose:

Name, contact, and address to deliver orders.

Transaction details for processing payments.

Firebase, Google Analytics — anonymized data for performance insights.

5.4 Government / Legal Authorities

Only if required by law or judicial orders.

We do not share personal data for marketing without user consent.

6. User Rights

Users have full control over their data:

• View or edit personal details
• Delete account anytime (upon request inside app or via email)
• Withdraw consent for permissions
• Request data copy (as per India’s PDP Bill guidelines)

7. Account Deletion Policy

Users may request account deletion by:

• Using the “Delete Account” option in the app
• OR
• Emailing [support email]

Upon deletion:

• All personally identifiable data is deleted permanently within 30 days
• Historical transactions may be retained for legal/compliance purposes

8. Children’s Privacy

TaajaBazaar is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Advertising Policy

TaajaBazaar may display:

• In-app offers
• Product promotions
• Non-personalized ads (if enabled)

We comply with the Google Play Ads Policy and do not display misleading, intrusive, or inappropriate ads.

10. Content Policy Compliance

TaajaBazaar adheres to Google Play’s content guidelines by ensuring:

• No harmful or illegal content
• No hate speech, violence, discrimination, or deceptive content
• No unauthorized sale of restricted items (alcohol, tobacco, medicines, etc.)
• All grocery listings follow FSSAI norms (if applicable)

11. Data Retention Policy

• User data retained only as long as necessary for service delivery
• Analytics data retained in anonymized form
• Deleted accounts fully erased except legally required records

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Users will be notified via in-app update or email.
